Peeping Lava Cowl

This Cowl is designed to represent the natural look of boiling lava peeping through volcanic rocks.

Notions: Knitting Needles: Size 4mm (US-6) and 3.5mm (US-5), Wire length at least 40” (100 cm) circular

needle, or double pointed needle. Tapestry needle for finishing up. A marker to mark the beginning of the round.

Yarn Information: Yarn used is DK weight, super wash merino wool with 20% nylon. Yarn is my hand dyed.

approx. 150gm (315m) Color A – Black : approx. 70gm(147m)/ Color B – Variegated : approx. 80gm(168m)

Gauge:

3.5mm needle – 22 sts & 30 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch

4mm needle – 20 sts & 28 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch

Finished Measurements: (unstretched, unblocked) - 78cm circumference / 23cm in depth
